hey guys I'am looking for the fill up tube you can replace on your tank, for the fuel return line, that has a port to run return fuel threw. I will be relocating l/p near tank. and i want to return fuel in fillup tube. do anyone knows where i can get one. thank

If your fuel tank module is like the one on my '95 there is a connection for attaching a hose from an auxilliary tank. Check your service manual.

I own a 01. 5 and there IS NOT an extra port on the fill tube. However, I have relocated my fuel return using the original fill tube.

I just drilled a 3/8 hole in the side of the filler tube and brazed in a short piece of tubing. (It should go without saying, but remove the filler tube assembly from the truck to do the work!!!) The factory filler tube has a coating on it and weld/braze WILL NOT stick to it! Carefully grind it off around where you will braze the fitting and it will stick fine. I painted the area before putting it back on the truck to give back some of the lost anti-rust protection.

You could also cut the rubber hose between the fill tube and tank and put a fitting in there. However, I felt adding a fitting to the filler tube was neater and less likely to cause flow problems when filling the tank.

The connection tube I mentioned is on top of the fuel tank module, not on the fill tube. It's about an inch tall or a little bit more than that. Really simple to attach a fuel hose to it. Remove the cap, it just lifts off. Slide the hose on the tube. Tighten the hose clamp. I don't know if it is on the later fuel tank modules or not. Look at the top of the tank module for a short tube with a cap on it.

I cut the filler vent line and put in a T.

Vent line is 3/4". 3/4" id hose 2" @2, T with hose barbs on each end of it, fitting of your choice (I used AN-6) on the middle of the T, 4 hose clamps.

I actually have 2 T's in my filler vent line. 1 for the RASP and 1 for the VP return.

When I rebuild my tank fuel cannister this summer I am going to make the OEM fuel return line (from the engine T) into a fuel feed line and put CStewart's adapters in the top of the cannister with all stainless steel hardware on the cannister itself.
