2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel Theft Prevention

Well, with $4 plus fuel prices fuel theft's going to become a problem again. Anybody come up with a way to prevent tank drilling yet?

A friend of mine put a 250 gal. tank in the field away from the ranch, he put about 10 gals. of diesel to make it smell like diesel and about 100 gals. of water. It set for a week and a half but finally someone took the bait. Didn't find the SOB but I'm sure they had real problems.

well my dog would help them take the fuel but i have a few deterents maybe the ar-15 with 30 rounds and the laser sight :-laf

All I'm after is a little barking (well, it's actually a pretty BIG bark), to get all concerned individuals attention. I would never shoot someone over the fuel or stuff in my truck. Any of the thieves I've come in contact with are cowards and will run away to an easier target anyway.



The beauty of a dog is they're always on alert. Big or small, they pay good attention to their master's stuff. I promise, no one will make it within 5' of anything that I value without getting one of my dog's attention. And then they'll have MINE. I chose big dogs because if someone should come in my house and I'm not there... . Well, they can be very intimidating and the shepherd will take it to the limit. Once again I'm banking on the coward/easier target factor. Sadly, I'm afraid things will get worse before they get better.



And hey, isn't it nice to see all our very good fury friends here? I assure you Joe doesn't care if I put his picture on the internet! It's all good... ...

Man,I need to get a bigger dog!I don't know why many people consider Boxers as one of the bully breeds because our puppy wouldn't hurt a fly... . however his looks are intimidating when he is upset!I can see that many of our pets would be handy in a parking lot with our turbo timers. Alan
