AHA!!





Today what do I find ..... a 1" tear on the drivers side lower intercooler hose from the fender slicing into it! There's one problem solved (Well juust as soon as I get new booties anyway)

This is like the third one of these that I have heard of in a week. Is this going to turn out to be another run out to the truck to check it, a home fix developed by the TDR membership, just to turn into a steal... dealer TSB?

I had the tear on my truck 2 yrs ago,I only noticed it becasue I was putting on the plow frame,and retorqued the boots. At the time I checked a few trucks at Tqt"S shop when i was there,and mine was the only one that had it happen. I guess things must move around over time. One other thing I noticed,the stock boots swell almost an inch in diameter at only 20psi. I ended up bending down the entire lip of my inner fender to get clearance,and if it hits no it will hit on a smooth flat surface,and that should hurt the boot.

Yeah I remember you checkin' that out a while back but completely forgot about it. Quick John tell me more cr@p wrong with the truck so I can forget about it and find it later!



I bent the ever lovin Shiznit out of the fender lip to move it off the Inter cooler. The metal lip was not just cutting the boot it was literally dug into the IC connect hose clamp!
