I was just wondering if any of you have used or know someone that has used fuelmister 2 biodiesel machine from azure Biodiesel its about $3000. I need somthing thats compact and easy to use becuase I am currently in the military and live in a apt and don't really have anywhere to store it. I was going to wait till I got out to get one or make one but with the way fuel prices are going (and my huge paycheck from uncle sam). I can barely afford to take my truck on long trips. Also about how much does the menthol and lye cost. Thanks Azure Biodiesel Company

You really should look into a BioPro. They make great quality fuel and are super compact. They are automated too. They are on the expensive side, but every bit worth it. They are industrial quality. Fusion Biodiesel I have the BioPro380. I make 100-200 gallons per week. Never had a problem.

Dumb questions: What do you all do with the leftover glycerine? Is there any other 'waste' product that needs disposing of?

Yes Vaughn the Bio Pro uses a 2 stage acid base reaction so it can handle some nasty stuff.

As far as glycerin goes you better have a plan for disposal before you start. I recover the methanol out of the glycerin then give some to a soap maker then mix the rest with sawdust and burn it on a hot fire.

My opinion is build your own processor, it will take you a weekend and you will have something to be proud of. If money is no object the only processor I would buy would be a Bio Pro.

I wonder if you have to use new veggie oil or if the BioPro can handle the used stuff loaded with fat that I get?
