Has anyone installed the full a-pillar gauge mounts from Geno's Garage? How did it work, look, and install? What brand of gauges did you use? I'm planning on engine upgrades later. Should the EG Temp be installed before or after the turbo? Thanks.

Steve:confused:

I`ve got the full pillar mount (two holer) from Geno`s for my Westach guages. Hardest part was painting it. Got a can of touch up spray from the dealer. Most people who see it think it`s OEM. Is that good?

Not sure which one Geno's sells but I have the Autometer full pillar w/three gauges and tweeter and I love it, it looks factory.

I got mine from a different company that sells them prepainted. Getting everything up through the dash to the a-pillar was interesting, but not impossible. These pillars are actually covers, although after I installed mine I saw where someone modified it a bit to make it replace the old pillar. This would save a bunch of room, and make it easier.

I mounted my pyro preturbo. I feel it gives a more acurate reading of what is actually happening in the engine.

As my signature states, I went with Di-Pricol gauges. Easy to read, but IMHO they are friggin' ugly at night. Orange and green? Who came up with that combination? I would have gone with the white face, but I can't stand chrome. Overall though, I was very happy with my choices.

I also have the 3 hole w/tweeter from Geno's. Repainted it with interior paint from the dealer. Love it. ;) Matches great, even painted the cup holder to make it look more stock. Went with all Westech gauges per my sig. Love the looks of the gauges but the dang green nipple covers on the lights can be a real pain if you have to take the light out. Even got them on the dimmer switch so I can brighten and dim them. ;)

Do you have to remove the instrument cluster, and if so how is this done without breaking any clips or fasteners. I'm still up in the air about whether to use the pillar mount or on top of the dash?

You don't have to remove the instrument cluster with the a-pillar mount. The stock one just pulls out from the top (directions come with the new one), and then just fish a wire or coat hanger down.
