I was outside this afternoon playing with my pump and now I have a question for some of you guys out there. Will the full power screw turn all the way into the pump till no threads are left showing on the screw?? I was turning the screw until it felt like it didnt want to turn anymore. I instantly stopped in fear of breaking off the screw, but just wanted to know how far the screw will go. I have many threads left showing on the screw, but it just don't wanna turn as easy. Does anyone out there know how far it will go??

thanks,

cody

I've never cranked mine in "all the way" so I'm not sure how far in the thing should go. I still have the 'lock collar' on my screw but I can see threads extending past the collar towards the outer end. Are you sure/not sure if your lock collar is still on?? If it is, thats why it won't go in any further is my guess. I would imagine that there is a max travel limit on them though.

Maybe re-post to Piers' attention, or maybe Joe D. can jump in with the answer.

Actually, I'd like to know myself.

One thing I do know, DO NOT take it right OUT!!

Regards, Bob

I do not know why one would want to turn it in all the way, but... ... . if you turn it in too much, the truck will not idle. You can turn it in until the truck will run at 2000 rpm's or more. I have played with mine and you can turn it while the engine is running and if you keep turning it the engine will keep revving. It does not hurt the pump if you remove the screw to cut/peel the lock collar off. I took my screw out and cut the lock collar off to experimetn with pump settings.
