Fumoto valve on 2WD truck

Has anyone had any problems with this oil pan valve (w/o nipple) on a 2WD truck? I'm really interested in using one. I don't know how long the valve is, but it appears it will hang down lower than the front cross member leaving it unprotected.



I don't do any off-roading. What do you think?

I have one on my 2wd (the Fumoto valve w/o nipple). It does hang down slightly lower than the engine cradle. So far I've had no problems, but then again I don't go off highway either.

I figure if I were to hit some road debris that could damage the Fumoto, odds are it will damage the oil pan anyway even with the stock plug.

Since I did take my 2wd off-road quite a bit I put in the other drain plug the EZ Drain Plug from Geno's garage. Only downside. . . it doesn't let all the oil out (keeps in a quart) when you drain, and there's no possible way to modify it.

I have had one on for a long time and no problem and also do not go off road. Will some dirt roads but no 4 wheeling since mine is 2 WD. By the way I like it and glad I put it on.
