2004 3500 4x4 w/75000 miles. Turn signals sometimes activate the wrong direction, I've been having this problem since the factory warranty ran out. Getting tired of it time to fix. Can anyone help?

I have a high mileage 04 like yours with a dually, close to 260K miles. . its been a nice truck... . we've never seen this problem but understanding how the switch works tells me there might be some broken plastic in the column and its forcing the switch the wrong direction sometimes when the lever is pushed or pulled...

The switch is mostly plastic and with the other functions it has to offer (high/low beams, wipers) that it could be damaged...

The hard part is the steering wheel puller required to get it off...

To be honest I can't remember taking apart a column with an air bag... . so hopefully someone might chime in about this... but I'd assume this is straight forward, disconnect it... move it out of the way or it stays with the wheel to access the switch... .

Not the answer I was looking for. Never pulled an air bag wheel before. Think tommorow I'll try to pry some plastic. A friends 07 3500 4x4 is doing the same thing, if I figure anything out I'll be sure to post it, Thanks.

Mine does the same thing intermittantly, also has on occasion been unable to click off the high beams. Hasn't done it in a while, assuming its a switch problem, just don't want to tear into it because of the column guages, remote starter and other crap tied into the wiring harnesses.
