Diesel fuel storage for gen set

Need a picture of 6BT connecting rod

Steve - Lucky Dog Lucky Dog :D

Airplanes I always wanted to fly but probably never will - B-17 & DC-3. Maybe I'll get the B-17 flight simulator if I ever get a pc with the speed and graphics to handle it.

Hey, you guys talking about snowmobiles, I just remembered that in my misguided youth a couple buddies and I played chicken one summer night - snowmobiles, lights out, in the cornfields. I think we had some beers, too. :D

I no longer like helicopters... I was in a NJ state police Bell 212 out for a test run (IIRC, may have been a 206) when I worked for keystone helicopter, well, when oil started running down the side windows I suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable

Anyway, I am lot younger than most of you guys, so I have't been in control of nearly as much stuff.

Have had the privledge of running a mid 70s D8 cat a little bit, a case 580, various skid steers, nearly every four wheeler ever built, a few different bikes etc.

Still the most fun I've ever had was a slightly;) modified yamaha raptor...

"Sprint car... without equal. "

Well I'll have to add a vote for this one also. Only one thing I'll change to it though is this. . A sprint car with no lid on, any track, especially those heavy with BIG cushions. Non-wing cars rule, now if I can just get my driver to go out and run some of those non-wing deals instead of needing that crutch all the time around here,well... ...

BUT,,,,

I thought this was a thread asking about the funniest thing you have ever been control of. So with that in mind I'll have to honestly answer this,A Bobcat. No one is safe when I am moving dirt or stone around on this. It never turns the way that you want it to and if you get to much in it well its a good thing there is a roll cage... ... ... . Andy

note to self..... Stay away from any machinery that's bigger than a lawn tractor... .

Sled Puller, I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't going to dare post it since I am not the smallest guy in the world :)

My boss has a 02 Viper GTS and a 70's Ford/Panterra with a NasCar spec engine in it. I got to drive the Viper but not the Pantera. The Pantera will outrun the Viper in a drag... but after 150 the Viper will walk away.

The equipment I ran was at the power generation station I worked at. They would let me "play" on the coal moving equipment once in a while. Cat D10R with a Coal Blade (68 cys), 657 Scraper with a Coal Bowl, and a 844 Rubber Tire Dozer which is a 992 loader with a coal blade instead of a bucket. The 844 is very fun but I always felt like I was going to tip over on side slopes since your some 15' in the air. That thing has some serious Michelins on it.

I think part of the fun of snowmobiles for me is that fact I'm going so fast over terrain than no other vehicle could even go 10 mph. Just my feelings I guess.

I will rank my old 87 FZR1000 second. With the cams I had and the sprockets I ran... I would ride around looking for a drag race. Newer CBR900RR's were easy prey as they riders didn't figure an older bike could run with the new ones. Had to be careful though cause the suspension couldn't keep up with the bike at all. I sold that thinking it was only a matter of time till I was eating pavement. Good move on my part probably. I'm glad I made it through without a scratch.

Ahhh Yes... .

Funny you mention that Gene. .

I do have a couple of shots of it somewhere around here. I'll see if I can dig one up for you. One thing that was conviently left out that day was my buddy in the backhoe tipping me over and trapping my oversized carcass in it upside down. One I have YET to repay him for:D :D :D ... ... ... . Andy

Snowmobiles are fun!

I got tired of the cold and ride my '99 WR 400 in the summer. Oo.

DMKelley is right, 4-strokes are going to take over soon.

LOL Doc - Sybian remote control!!

My KTM 525 is pretty cool, my Honda CR500Af is a bit more powerful but the mid 80s Suzuki Katana 1100 "wire wheel homolgation special" is the fastest bike I've ever ridden.

Most fun would have to be late 70s factory Lotus Cortina rally car, just enough power 250hp to be really exciting but allow you to be really aggressive.

Without question, in the front seat of a B-1B with the wings pinned back, the throttles in burner, and the airspeed showing right at 600 indicated. That was in Oct of 91 during an airshow at Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas. We were a bit high though, all the way up to 500 feet. Or would it we the E-4B (B747-200) I fly now. Hmmmm, tough call!!

Most exciting rides and drives. . .

-->My Polaris Indy XLT snowmobile

-->Driving HVAC's Red Rocket

-->Going for a spin in a GP35 locomotive. . . didn't get to drive it but we almost crushed a car stalled on a crossing and got the 52-car load stopped *just* in time. . . talk about heartstopping

By the time we re-aired the brakes and did a slow rollby to make sure none of the cars derailed, the traffic was backed up for a good mile.

A very good friend let me take his 911 Club Sport for a spin in the mountain roads above Denver. What a fun car.
