Today I was driving to work near Albany and saw a Dodge Roach coach. It was a 3500 with a Cummins. Seems like an aweful waste of a good truck. Has anyone seen these trucks used for other strange things?

There is one in my neighborhood that belongs to a ferrier. It has his forge and anvil in the body. Another belongs to a horse vet.

Honey wagon...

... I seen one in Columbus that was used to pump out porta-pottys. I think the bug deflector said "S##T HAPPENS"or "IT'S A S#**TY JOB" . They should leave that work to PHORDS;) ... Doug

Sorry to change subject. My family is from the South Glens Falls area. I have two sisters and there families still there. And a brother down in Schenectady (SP?). I'll be in the Glens Falls area in June for my nephews graduation.

As far as strange uses for our trucks. Just gassers wondering what it's doing running at the drag strip. Then after a run.

I saw some that the airforce uses on the flight line they were used to tow something I don't know if it was the planes or something else. They had shortend the truck quite a bit though.

First time I saw one I thought I need to reread the owners manual about how to properly wash and dry it so mine doesn't shink like that:)

Kaffine Krazed, we call them Bobtails, they're used to pull all the ground equip. for the planes. pretty much same setup that we run on our trucks except they are governed at about 20mph. The most I have pulled with one is a 20k pound airconditioning cart!

Those bobtails have a rear end gearing in the 1:7. XX range to keep them slow. I saw one that was a 4x4 when I was in Kuwait in '01.
