The fuse block in my 93 3/4 ton has seen better days.

the interior lighting as well as stereo and a few other odds and ends work on their own schedule.

If one or more of these things isn't working I only have to tap the fuse block and everthing works again for a short while.

I called the local Dodge dealership and the Parts Guy gave me the great news that a new block was only $20.

the problem is that Dodge has discontinued this part.

what can I do?

I really prefer not to get electrical parts from the junk yard.

JB,

I moved this topic here for better exposure. The other forum is for the posting of sources/suppliers/makers of alternative components or replacement components for items DC has discontinued.

Now have you tried to isolate which lead/leads are causing the problem??? Maybe you could try wiggling the individual fuses or wires leading to/from the fuse block and see if you can narrow your culprit down a bit. .

Bob.

I fixed this a few months ago.

Figured out that when the blade style fuse was pushed in it pushed the contactor and wire out the back... . Just held the wire in while I put the fuse back in and it has worked fine since.

Thanks for the help thou.

Sorry for your luck I to had problems with my fuse block only I was able to get one and replaced it. I would say that anything must be easier than replacing that stupid thing!!! It was a real pain the behind. If you find that you really need a new block and there is not one anywhere else in the country then you may try Delphi electric or Pioneer electric both are OEM suppliers for fuse blocks and they may have a block that will be close to what ou first gen dodges use. Good Luck.
