I also used the cigar lighter as the source for my Painless wiring kit when I installed my Transfer Flow, but my Trax II reads out both tank levels and doesn't transfer fuel even though its on in the accessory position. Is this something unique to your set up? TCDiesel I wouldn't be to worried about a dash fire, the source of the cigar lighter is fused also, and all it does is supply power to the Painless wiring kits 30 amp relay. All power connections are out under the hood. They do have you install the actual relay in the cab for weather purposes. Overall I think Transfer Flow makes well engineered product and they have top notch customer service if you have an issue or need technical support.

I agree, Just trying to be helpful... . a little history Days after I took My 13 the in tank pump failed, If I would have not had the knowledge able to re-start the vehicle it would have needed to be towed to the Dealer. T&C replaces ALL in tank pumps form every Make Honda to Big trucks. Gasser seem to get 7 to 10 years form the in tank pumps, Diesels seem to get only 4 to 7, Now with the dual setups I see that being cut down *. All electronic Pumps fail, When going through the hassle of installing auxiliary fueling spend the extra $$$ for back up systems , if you want to upgrade the system (future) with additional backup you will be removing all the wiring/lines except the painless block.

If you look at the pictures You will see you have the option of transferring, Continuous filtering, Auxiliary lift pumps, 1,2,3 Pumps with Auxiliary heating, YOU will never ever need to worry of be stranded or gelled up, with bypass and auxiliary filtering, all at the touch of the in cab switch.

The heating element treats the fuel in the filter head, MN has Bio-diesel when transferring when -0 temps it just plugs the filter. I always plan for the worst case scenario BC it generally happens to me on our trips in the Rockies During winter Months.
