I am having issues with my lights and had a local shop plug his scanner up and can't get it to clear out and says I need a new fuse panel. so my question is, if I find one out of a junkyard will it need to be programed in? he said he didn't see that option on his new snap on scanner.

They are VIN specific so a used one may or may not work correctly. You are better off just going for the new one and know it will work.

But first check all 5 Multiconnectors under the Fuse Box, they are often corroded and make funny things with the truck.
So often that there is a repair Kit available from Mopar.

If it is on the 06 it is a TIPM, which includes fuse box and the electronic controller, and you may have to have it programmed. New stuff sometimes does not need programmed as it will imprint from the data bus but check when you order it.

it will need to be programed, along with the vin # you will need a software #. on the 06 the tipm unsnaps from the bracket and the software number is on the firewall side of it. it is 6 or 8 numbers followed by two letters. i have not priced one from a local dealer but a dealer i found on search has them for about $1,100. give me exactly what the problem is and i may be able to tell you how to apply a presidential solution to it.
