I just pulled the wheels and did rear brakes on my 05 - 3500 dually. Front brakes are still 25% but I have to admit that I'm tardy in taking care of this truck... I ran 16 oz of brake fluid through each caliper with my vac pump and container. That's 2 quarts total and to be honest I'm surprised that I'm still not seeing clear brake fluid at the caliper. . the fluid catch container measures the contaminated fluid... . I'm very happy that the dust boots on the calipers were in good shape... This truck has got 135K miles and we tow a 15K lb trailer about 85% of the time.....
I guess more than anything I'm unhappy with myself that I've let go the past 3 years with out changing the brake fluid... This truck has a pacbrake on it and I'm careful and attempt to not use the service brakes over 40 mph... so I'm pleased with the brake pad life. .
I guess that I'm also saying that I'm going to move from a 3 year fluid change to a 2 year change and see where that takes me...
I've been using software from http://www.carcaresoftware.com/ for at least 15 years now and have tracked almost everything to all the trucks, trailers etc...
Pull the cap off your master cylinder and take a look... my next project is my jeep before we head south to AZ for the winter...
Just my thoughts...
