Competition FYI: STOCK "600" goes 16.30 @ 80

Just FYI, my brother just bought a 325/600 about 3 weeks ago. 04. 5 2500, 4door, short bed, auto, sport, loaded, 3. 73's.



BONE stock (stock everything except our DD airbox), it ran 16. 30 @ 80mph last night at Moroso in FL. This was leaving at 1600rpm, in 2WD. He's not going to try the 4WD launches until he gets gauges in it.



Anyone else run theirs stock?

My 02 ran 17. 60 @ 77mph stock. Pretty big difference. BTW, that same 02 ran a 16. 5 @ 82 with just an EZ.

Back when my 99 auto was close to stock WITH an EZ it did 16. 42 in the 1/4 mile.



16. 30 is awesome for a stock 4x4 with 4 doors!!

When I ran here in Utah, bone stock + RV's I ran 17. 00 @79. 9... .



Was racing my buddy in his 6. 0 Vortec gasser with 245 tires and 4. 10 gears, he ran a 17. 80...



I havent ran since.

Where in Utah are you located, in Logan by any chance?

First and only time I have run my truck the best time i came up with was 15. 44 at 87mph. Had an EZ, hog ss exhaust, and proguard 7 intake. I was racing a 2000 or 01 f-350 with a turbo,injectors, 3 different chip, some kind of fuel system, and some hopped up auto trans. Best he could come up with is a 15. 8 . I walked him right off the line. He was really dissappointed.

How are you launching, and what gear you starting off in with the 6 speed?

Started off in 2wd, tried 2nd and 3rd takeoffs. Didn't matter tires would spin. HIt 16. 0 three times. Tried 4wd in 2nd gear, drop the cltuch and let her eat. Was hoping to go to the strip this weekend but had to go to work. Maybe tomorrow, see what she does with the sbc and tst.

2800-3000 rpm seems to work pretty good. I don't know what I launch at as I am watching the lights. I didn't get to make it today, so hopefully I will get to go next week. Almost beet a mustang the other night. I pulled into the local hangout and asked if anyone wanted to go run them. Everyone looked at me like I was nuts. So we headed out of town to an open road. He claimed he had nitrous but it was empty. I had him by at least 3-4 car lengths all the way to the finsih, and out of nowhere he comes blazing by. All in all him and his buddies were all very surprised. Something tells me he couldn't loose to a 4x4 truck so he hit the juice. Totally my opinion.

I ran consistant 17. 0s with a '99 auto 4x4 reg. cab dually with just a VA on it...



I wanted like heck to break into the 16's but it just wouldn't do it with all the other parts bone stock...
