Great. . Now it even covers my truck. What do you suppose the chances are of Dodge springing for an alignment after the tie-rod is replaced?

For the folks that have had tie rods replaced (out of pocket), will Dodge cough up the $$$? Also for those that have already been replaced, did Dodge use the same faulty parts? I had mine replaced in '05 and then again in '07. The second time was on my dime.

Ball joints and tie rod ends done with Moog after market on mine a while back. It's all good now. Mine was just plane wore out at 200k+. Everything except the inner tie rod ends are greasable this time!!!! Chrysler: THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST TIME!!!#@$%!

Mike, thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware of that. Trucks in the shop now. I'm going to ask about the tie rod tomorrow.

I've been holding off on upgrading my '04 steering to the '09 stuff because of a couple threads I read online about the tie rod end breakage. It was exactly how it was described in the yahoo article. Guys were breaking tie rod ends in parking lots during low speed maneuvers.
