Using just the Dodge/Cummins combo for an example, Dodge has underestimated the Cummins from day one and continues to this day. Don't get me wrong, my Dodges don't owe me a nickel and would not trade for any thing else. But I think we can all agree, they have under built the drive train with the Cummins option and can't ever get ahead of the medium duty Cummins power increases.
I know there are failures of all types in the drive train, but that does't make it acceptable. I can also agree that some people can break anything. There are commercial haulers on here that get more miles out of their rig then daily drivers, so it can be done. My two Dodges have been flawless so far with no major component failure in over 500,000 miles combined. I can understand the weakness of some components and so I drive accordingly, yet use them hard.
