I've read the posts about the G-56 clutches and flywheels failing but has anybody had there flywheel growl/chatter? The dealer replaced throwout bearing and pilot bearing, no change. It doesn't do it all the time but when it does lately it sounds bad. Also anything else it could be that I could check? Had CP3 pump replaced for leaking, could that be related? Anything would be great! Thanks!

Need more info.

Wagon,

Can you provide the details, when does it make noise, gear, load, RPM, etc. Can you control the noise by doing _____ ?

I have reported on this site that my G-56 has a slight noise in NEUTRAL only when the clutch is not depressed. SLIGHT whispering noise. As soon as you Push in the clutch a little bit, noise goes away. Used to do it all the time, now ony does it once in a while. Dealer looked at it, heard it, and diagnosed it to me as the " Imput shaft turning" and was Normal. My noise is NOT loud, doesn't bother me, and anyone else in the truck would have no clue the noise was even there. I switched to AMSOIL ATF and that pretty much took care of it...

So far its only made the growl at below 1000rpm. It started out only doing it with the clutch in but now it will do it with the clutch out. It does it the worst when the truck is sitting still, but when I'm under about 20 I can faintly hear it over the engine but feel it in the clutch pedal. Also it makes the noise for a second when the engine is shutting down and I don't push in the clutch. I haven't towed anything with it since around thanksgiving and everything was fine then.
