I decided to post these results in case there was anyone who might be interested, or if not interested, in need of a good laugh! As can be seen from the signature line, this truck is unBOMBed, had just me in it and a full tank of #2.

0-60 mph 13. 48 seconds
216 rear wheel HP
1/4 mile 19. 33 seconds at 72. 1 mph

These were measured with a G-Tech accelerometer. A slick little device.

One other thing, found an online site to order service manuals for same price as dealer: http://www.techauthority. daimlerchrysler.com/

It took a while to find this, thought I'd pass it along.

Happy Rammin'!

workto much , don't take those g tech numbers as gossiple , i have a similar truck to you , except mines a short bed , stock except for an amsoil air filter i went 18. 5 @ 73. 7 mph , 6850 lbs , don't give up hope #ad
#ad
, best to date is 14. 94 @ 88. 67 mph , more to come #ad

Agreed, the G-Tech is not the equivalent of a good dyno or a drag strip. I mainly got it to measure improvements as I empty my wallet into my truck... Thanks for your input.

Kurt, I did the same thing as a close Dyno is apparently non existent for me. If I ever get the time to hit the closest truck scales, my G-tech will go in to establish a baseline for future BOMBing. Spring will be here soon, sure enough my wife will have plenty of goodies for me to take to the dump, little will she know why I'm so eager to take the trip !!!

Scott, any idea where your HP/Torque are at present with the mods you've made? I realize youv'e not measured it directly, but how much improvement have you noted?

Kurt, as you stated, I don't have dyno numbers. A conservative guess of HP would be around 370, going from what I've read on the TDR by members that did dyno runs with the ETH and similar equipment. No idea on the torque except I'm sure it's above 800 lb. /ft. of torque. The felt power is incredible to me. The spool up on the HX40 is real fast. I hit max. rpm's in the first 4 gears real fast and start to really feel that boost push me back in the seat at the top end of fourth gear. 5th and 6th flat out scream. I'll post some numbers once I get the truck weighed this spring. I'm real happy with the mods. I have on the truck right now.

I agree that you should not take the G Tech as gospel, but... I also believe it is about as accurate as the average dyno. The results on the dyno can differ for many reasons. Tire size, tread design, input operator error, etc, etc.
The G Tech will be the same as far as ability to make it inaccurate. Input the wrong weight, or mount it crooked on the windshield, or many other things.
My point is that the G Tech is a good before/after measurement, as stated above, plus it is fun to do the bonzai run to make it work! And it is a lot cheaper than dyno time.

I've been using a g-tech for a while now and have compared it to actual dyno runs and to dragstrip times. IMO if you do everything they recommend it can be very accurate. You have to make sure that all of the rubber feet are touching the glass (the 3 little ones too) and that it's centered in the vehicle (I get out in front of the truck to verify). BTW, I usually put it in hp mode first and put the weight of the truck in before mounting it on the glass so I don't have to adjust it once mounted. I have a stretch of road near me that's bordered by fields, is flat as a pancake and smooth (I find that the smooth part is very important in the accuracy). I do the HP testing first and then the acceleration numbers so that I never have to move the g-tech once it's mounted. I do 5 runs in both directions, if there is a run that is way slow or way fast I throw those out and average the remaining runs. Doing that when I had just an original powermax gave me 270 hp and 17. 25@82 mph whereas it dynod at 275 hp (that dyno run was my box on another like truck) and 17. 3@79. 25 mph. With 275 injectors and the powermax it said 305 and 16. 7@87mph whereas the dyno said 313 (haven't been back to the dragstrip). Now with the 275 injectors and the Powermax3 it's saying 375 hp and 16. 3@92. 8 mph. I dyno'd that combo at TST but their dyno reads way low for some reason - it only dyno'd at 309 hp (mustang dyno just like the 313 #). The 375 number is consistent with the acceleration numbers and seat of pants (pushes you back in your seat in 5th gear #ad
)! I do find that the HP is more consistent (less fluctuations) than the acceleration features of the g-tech. From my experience it reads a little low on horsepower but is a little optimistic on 1/4 mi et and MPH (especially MPH). JMHO

I just loaned mine out to a local auto parts guy that races jeeps and stuff... when he returns it, I can scan it and send it... about a week. Anyone quicker?
