I'm confused about who makes the new 6 speed. I've read both that Getrag and DaimlerChrsler make it.

The G56 is built by DaimlerChrysler and has been used in European Mercedes trucks for awhile.

100% not a Getrag!

Made by Mercedes Benz's Commercial Truck division from what I understand.
