G56 oil change interval

I'm coming up on 20k since my G56 conversion. 50% of my miles are towing, sometimes fairly heavy and almost always out west in the mountains. Is 30k the oil change interval?

You have a G56 on a 97? Did it bolt right up or did it involved extensive custom fabrication.

We put a G56 in my buddies 93 ( along with a 96 engine ) and I have one in my 03. Mine was the easiest, his was a bit more work as is a 2nd gen. Shadrach

I would change it as often as you feel comfortable with... 30k would be a good interval IMO. Changing more often in not detrimental to the trans, only to your pocketbook.

I changed it every 50k when I had the NV4500, but syntorq is a lot more expensive than ATF+4. Just wondering if the '06 and above owners manuals call for changing it. The '97 didn't call for changing it ever.
