Call Richard at the Tucson Branch and ask any question you have, he's very available and able to answer any question you have on the NV5600

I pulled the trans today. Removed the clutch assembly to insure no spacer or anything was on the crank. It was all good. I then noticed the washer behind the pivot ball was still on so I removed it. Put everything back together and I'm still stuck in the same spot. I'm thinking I'm going to send the clutch to valair. And have them double check everything.

The clutch lever. Is hitting the bell housing. I'm not sure what's going on. Im going to pull the trans back out today I think.
The Clutch lever may be a different length. Could you have installed the wrong one, if its hitting the Bell Housing? The NV5600 bell housing shouldn't be having clearance issues if it and the related mechanisms is from the same transmission, and is why I suspect the hydraulic slave cylinder.

Ya your still misunderstanding. the slave cylinder does not have to be bolted on and the lever is pushed against the bell housing where the slave bolts. Everything is what came in the nv5600. The parts was never removed from the 5600. Until yesterday when I pulled it to remove the washer from the pivot ball

I will try and post a picture tomorrow before I pull it. I'm going to go ahead and send the clutch to valair and have them make sure there is no issues I don't wanna lose a $1200 clutch. I'm going to call Dan @ valair and talk tohim some more Monday see if we can get something figured out

The clutch lever inside the bell housing that pushes the throw out bearing to the pressure plate. It is pushed back tight to the bell housing.

This is indicating a system stack height (F/W thickness, diaphragm spring tips to F/W) problem from crank flange to trans face. If you installed this system like that, it has no room to allow the bearing to move back as the system wears.

Are you using an VN5600 F/W or a G56 solid F/W conversion F/W? The G56 conversion F/W is taller. Then you're back to ring gear to starter drive positioning too.

Does your test setup include the disc, or are you POSSIBLY checking the setup w/o the disc?

If with the disc, something is wrong.

Yes sir. You said exactly what my problem is. I'm using the nv 5600 complete clutch system fly wheel to pressure plate. With the 5600 adapter plate as well. The clutch is installed complete. I'm thinking theres an issue with the clutch some where.

I say kit but I got lucky found a guy that got rid of the The clutch lever inside the bell housing that pushes the throw out bearing to the pressure plate. It is pushed back tight to the bell housing.
Thanks, I see it now, I had in my head, the lever was scraping against the Bell housing.

Dan should have no problem figuring something out. Did you send him the F/W too? If you still have it, any chance of a pic of the engine side from an angle?

I still have everything. We have a hot shot truck heading to the area tomorrow I think to drop a load. So there going to drop complete clutch setup off for me. I may be able putvthe f/w on and snap a pic are you wanting to see the starter side or just the gap behind the f/w. The distance between the f/w and adapter plate is prilly between 3/16-1/4. Just guessing. Its pretty close

The NV5600 F/W on the engine side is sorta flat, doesn't stick out far at all. But I bet most direct bolt to crank G56 conversion F/W stick out noticeably by comparison. Engine side of F/W might shed some light.

Well guys I finally got the clutch back from valair. It just had to much wear so I had them rebuild it. Reinstalled. Everything is perfect. Shifts like a dream. Bought rear drive shaft out of the salvage bought a new front shaft today at O'Reillys. I used my stock x member and the factory 05 trans bracket and bushing. I had to drill 2 holes for the studs. Then cut 2 holes to be able to get to the nuts. Besides my clutch issues. It was a really simple swap. But any smart person would either install a new or rebuilt clutch I just got in a hurry and it bit me in the ***** but so far so good with this baby.
