Nv5600,& clutch. front&rear drive shafts (I used car-part.com to locate rear shaft) Front came new from parts store. Trans mounts for 05 nv5600 (2 pcs 1 bolts too trans and is the bracket for the trans mount to xmember.). I used an actual nv5600 adapter plate also. But If you decide to use the g56 adapter plate. you will have to have the starter spacer I think Valair sells. I love the valair clutch its way more smooth then the south bend ever thought to be. Dan is also a great guy to deal with super nice and ready to help any guy off the street with his product.

When my G56 gives up the ghost, you can bet I'll be looking for this thread, BTW Im finishing my trans cooler system this weekend. Its been a long 6 months researching and accumulating all the parts. It's the perfect time with the weather here hitting a 100*. I'm going to test it climbing Cajon Pass, at a hundred plus degrees, I'm even thinking that I might just pull the boat for the hell of it.

1coorsman2005, I thought I wouuld bring this thread back to life. My G56 is getting noisier, I believe input shaft wear. So im serious now about converting to the NV5600. Standard Transmission is going to take my G56 as the Core for the NV5600, but I'm a little over a year away to the actual conversion and I want to start collecting the little things needed. So I thought I'd start with the adapter plate to the block and to the NV5600 Bellhousing. do you have part numbers for whats needed for the adapter plate. I don't want to use the plate for the G56. Will I have to change the starter as well?

How many miles since Standard rebuilt your transmission? If it is in fact input shaft wear, I would wonder at the build quality. I know you blame the G-56, but....

When Richard went through it at Standard Transmission, he found the bearings had gotten hot enough to show on the bearings/races, so they were replaced. He also had to shim the front bearing housing to put the shaft back in spec. After the rebuild, I installed temperature sensors on both sides and found that when towing light @ 15K GCW, it could get to 250*, even with the oil coolers attached to the PTO openings from Geno's. That's why I developed a real trans cooler for it. But before I could get a cooler installed, it seems to have effected it. I blame the G56 due to aluminum housing, allowing easy wear on the case. If it wasn't assembled correctly I guess I'll never know, but their willing to take my G56 as a core for the NV5600 purchase, also I believe I had an expert go through it. I've only put 30K on the rebuild and it was at 30K when rebuilt, for a total of @ 60K, but it was in 2013 if I remember correctly. So it's out of warranty even if I wanted them to correct the situation.

If I were still in the business, I would most definitely welcome you to my shop!

I will be watching your swap when the time comes and maybe even be able to help with some pieces and parts.
