Wondering if anyone has knowledge of how these buttons work. I'm wiring in fog lights and a light bar on my front bumper and was wondering if I could use the buttons to operate the lights.

All they do is receive and transmit a rolling code for gates or garage doors. I highly doubt they could be utilized for any type of lighting.

Ok, thanks. I thought maybe I could somehow mount a push button on/off behind the door buttons. I haven't taken the overhead console apart to see if there's even room to do such a thing. Probably a lot more work than it'd be worth anyway.

That's really nice looking! I read thru that post, good info. I was kinda hoping for a hidden switch thing. That's why I was inquiring about the door buttons.

Also, why would you want to defeat that feature? If you don't have an automatic garage door now, are you convinced you never will?

Ah, cause I don't even have a house to have a garage door. By the time, if ever, I own a house with a garage door, this truck will be long gone.

Where did you get these switches?, Monte, by the way i've asked you one other time and did not get an answer, i would appreciate it, Thanks
It's really not "my" switches......I just recalled it from another forum and was trying to help ya out with a link and some pics.
The information is in the link above the pics.......did you click it????

This is where the link brings me...
