Rode my 4 wheeler over to the neibors house and guess what I saw



He had his (PULLER) Garden Tractor out and was riding wheelies on his driveway LOL...



I lost it and ran and got my camera.



I could only coax him to do ONE for the cam. but its still funny as heck.

Im getting a SPRINGFIELD to build as a Pulling tractor alot cheaper than Pulling my truck.



Every one has Cubs I love Em' but I have to be diffrent



I Wonder if I put a 12 horse diesel on the springfield Im getting if they will let me pull in the 12 horse class ???

Your link in your post didn't work but I got it off your website.

That is funny. My dad had one of those just like that when I was a kid. It was great for pulling a trailer or snowplowing but the mower deck was really strange. The blades were setup at 90 degrees on a timing belt and if they hit something they would jump the timing and bang together.

Loved the sound of that old Kohler.

Im kind of getting back to my roots abit So I picked up a little tractor to FIDDLE FART around with... . no hard core every night up till morning type of thing just something I can tare apart all the way to the frame and do a good job restoring IT should be fun... ... of course I have aready lined up my engine shop for some major boaring of the motor as well as a few other internal parts that will put me right up there with the pack... . LOL



I gave a friend a $160 pair of work boots still in the box and I wouldnt take $$ from him so he said I could have any tractor from his GRAVE YARD and I can take my pick of any motor on any of the other tractors he has there ... MAybe SAturday Ill be doing this ... Im not going to be able make it to cincy 4 the meet anyway.



He has told me about the Spring Fileld and said that will be the one I pick ... I have yet to see it.

ok, kinda on a side note, what is the motors they use in those tractors and what hp are they running? i have a 600cc ninja motor from my old bike that i might be able to make work in sompthing and this looks kinda neat. the motor i have is a 115hp 14,000 rpm 4cy. prolly not legal for that use is it? any ideas?

I went to an Antique tractor pull & they had a bunch of garden tractors & one guy had 2-350cc honda engines on his complete w/electric start & twistgrip throttle,another guy prolly an old machinist had a single cyl tractor w/belt drive on the side. Used a 460 ferd engine cut down to 1 cyl sounded & pulled good. There was alot of other cycle engined ones even a 750 honda,some had a hard time getting the sled to budge,took alot of rpm & wheels in the air,then they were getting sideways looked like alot of fun.

Got my Project..... Man Its a long way off.



As for the HP rating most are 12 horse koler motors with a bit of boaring and other stuff talking motorcycle motors would be like a PRO stock garden tractor or something :>



For about $300 you can buy a junker Cub and get the motor beefed and get it pulling very well ... and if it breaks BIG DEAL !! Cool paint schemes and just fun stuff all around while keeping your $$$ in your wallet. If your looking for a projet try to get a SIDE SHAFT Motor that is Shaft driven ... mine is nither :< but It looked like it would be something fun to fix up so I got IT



Had to do a motor swap Lucky I had a good B&S 8 Horse laying around ... major rerouting of the belts are in order very poor design.

And Im Going to get my Front tires today to make it mobile

The only tires I could find have a center shaft thats 1 1/2 inches too short for the front axels ... so its liquid wrench time and a big hammer also it wont be long and the New and Improved Front tires will be on ... . its a start
