Broken ankle

Looking to upgrade from a lawn tractor to a garden tractor so I can run more attachments. I am looking at Cub Cadet. Any others to consider?

Definitely need dome more information such as what types of attachments you plan to run, how large you want to go, budget considerations, new vs. used and how much you plan to use this machine (home owner vs commercial). I have a John Deere 2520 which has a 26. 5 hp Yanmar diesel. I chose this model because this model was big enough to run a back hoe and still was easy on the yard. Initially I also mowed the lawn with it but two years ago bought a zero turn because it was too much trouble spending an hour and a half switching it back and forth every week to mow. I would get the same size tractor again but with a 31 hp (wasn't available at the time). I currently run a 6 foot backhoe, loader, 5 foot box blade, 5 in wood chipper and a log splitter. I looked at New Holland, and Kubota as well. Many hours of research went into all three which included price, financing, warrenty, and brand reputation, but my final decision was with Deere because the dealer is two miles from my house and I know I will be able to get parts or service in any part of the country. Kubota was my second choice and it was a very close second. Had they had a local dealer it would have been a tough choice. I may have paid a little more for the green paint but I don't regret my decision one bit. You will need parts or service at some point in your ownership and knowing they are always around the corner let's me sleep well at night.

KUBOTA!!! Everything they make seems to be top notch. I have a "Lawn tractor" with the 18 horse 3 cylinder diesel and love it. I also have a 90 horse farm tractor and love it. I eventually would like to get a small utility tractor with a loader and to run a rotor tiller attachment and a couple plows for the garden. Go diesel for sure. The gas ones are nothing but homeowner quality lawnmowers (aka cheap built).

I have a John Deere 430 Diesel with mowing deck, snow blower, single bottom plow, disc, back blade - love it. I do want to upgrade next year though to a 4x4 model (2310 or 4110) for the use of front loader. You can get a loader for the 430 but limited to 500 pounds and a 6 foot lift.

All in all though, my JD is a beast! Love it!

Ok. I have 2 acres. I have about 1 acre to mow.

But, I have a barn with 1 acre behind it that needs landscaping. There is grading and leveling of soil, gravel spread out behind the barn so I can get boats and camper in it. Driveways on the whole property need back blading twice a year.

In winter and snow blower unit would be needed.

The JD 2000 series is a great series for what you are looking to do. I would stay away from the 2305 as it really isn't a sub compact but more of a lawn and garden tractor with a diesel. Once you get to the 2320 or higher, you get much more tractor than lawn mower but it still mows the lawn VERY well and is easy on the turf. They are all 4 wd and attachments are easy on and off. I only got rid of my mowing deck because the backhoe attachment forced me to take the mounting brackets off the tractor for the mower. That was the only pain of swapping. Everything else is like 5 minutes for a complete swap.
Again Kubota is a very high quality piece with a great service record. I just didn't have one near me at the time.

17 years ago I was in need like you are.

I looked a JD, Ford (now new Holland) and they both said thiers was better than JD. So, I went to Kubota and they loaned me one for the day. ! The others would not. I bought it.

B2150 hydrostat.

Bought it with loader and 6 ft rear deck by Landpride.

I now have a post hole digger, plow, cultivator, sickle mower, grader, generator-12kw, sprayer.

It pretty much gets used every day for something.

A friend borrowed it to move some dirt, then a JD from his BIL, and likes the 'bota' better.

He now has one.

Drive or use them before you buy.
