I wouldn't trust E-tronics.com to flush a toilet, let alone complete an order correctly. Those people there are a true example of e-commerce gone wrong. We have purchased all of our Garmin products (and that would be 9 of them) from GPS CITY . They've prvided excellent service and stand behind their sales with support (gee what novel idea!)

I also bought from TV NAV, good price great service and they also provide a newsletter for software updates to download from Garmin.

I got one of those velcro on bean bags for mine ... really easy to change between vehicles.

The worse thing is forgetting to take it with you. :{

GPS CITY

JS, I will second GPS CITY . I have dealt with them a couple of times and they are great. They also have a price match policy if you can find it cheaper elsehwere, they will match the price.

GPSCity.com

We have bought over a dozen Street PilotIIs from GPSCity. They are going to be the cheapest by their prices are fair and their service is great. Awsome accessory selection.

For those looking for a good way to mount their portable GPS in the truck, go to http://www.mobilecx.com I bought a suction cup mount for my GPSMAP 196 from them, and can now easily switch from truck to car to airplane to helicopter :)

Their search engines makes finding the right mount a breeze.

I'll have to take a picture and post it one of these days...

I got mine from gpsdiscount.com . They were cheaper by far at that time and said they were Garmins largest distributor.

Wish I had a plane & a helicopter to put my Garmin Street Pilot in, all I gots a couple pickups. No brag. . . just fact. Got mine off of ebay and whooped everybodies deals.

Cheers,

Steve J.

Steve ... next best thing is take it when you fly. You have to hold it right next to the window to get a signal. Don't use the back lighting ... really sucks the batteries down. ;)

It's fun to see "Driving South on Hwy xxx, 525mph" Oo.

Prices?

What is a good price for the Garmin 2610? Is this a good one for the money? Hate buying and then wishing I had spent a little more to get needed features. In the price range is the Garmin prefered over the Magellan?

Garmin's tech support cannot be beaten and if the 2610 is anywhere near as good as the SPIII you should like it. Great procucts from a great company as far as I am concerned, they are pretty competitive pricewise

That 2610 is nice isn't it. This is my first GPS, don't know how I got along so long without it! I got the 2. 2 mega bite card for it, that way you don't have to load maps for a trip, just put in a weighpoint, and go, it takes the 2. 2 to hold all the maps.

Got mine at TVNA also, they have great prices and support. Just installed the latest 2. 9 software update this morning.

BTW, TVNA has the 2. 2 cards for 200 clams, the Garmin 2. 2 cards are 400 clams.
