CAT Inlet size on the 600 vs CA SO?

Could someone please explain to me why I lost 2lbs of boost

Yesterday I tested a new injector Jeff Garmon developed. All I can say is :--)

This customer has a 2001 HO 6 spd. His upgrade path was a Drag Comp and 275 injectors, guages and 4" exhaust. This yeilded him 358hp. Next was an HX40, 379hp/822tq.

Jeff installed his first set of these new injectors in this truck. The turbo was wastegated to 40 psi and on injector alone, I smacked 40 psi quickly and layed down 408hp/820tq. With the Drag Comp on level 1 for fueling and 5 for response, it made 463/930. Anything above level one had no improvement except for more black smoke due to the air limits of the turbo.

The best part was that for an injector that delivers this much fuel, it idled just like a stock injector. Smoke was available if you asked for it, and not when you didn't. Power delivery was smooth and linear. At 40 psi under full throttle on injectors alone, it was not blacking out the road. On level 5x5, this FUEL at 40 psi... Goodby road. I'd really like to see what they are capable of in a 24v with twins.

Garmon's Pro Flows are new injectors, each flow tested and sold as matched sets. You get to keep your current injectors. They are honed. They deliver more power than any other injector I have ever tested. I have never seen an injector at this power level idle and transition in power this smoothly. These things rock!!!

Jeff also told me for a limited time, if he installs a set, he will give you a free dyno and if you are not happy, he'll take them back out.

Wow David... ... ..... 70 looks and no comments. They must not think there for real... ..... Folks, they are everything he says, and a little more. And wait for the 12V injectors. Just wait.

It looks like those are about 180-190hp injectors, give or take a few. Does he offer 125-150hp injectors? I'm assuming they are a custom tip, ie. different number of holes, and spray angles? What about price? PM me if you can't post it here. Thanks

For all that would like to talk to Jeff, the number at the shop is 770-898-8585. We discussed where and how Jeff wanted to handle dispersion of the injectors. That is, the sale of the injectors to the public. This is what Jeff said, and David will chime in here too, I hope. The injectors are high HP injectors and not for the towing crowd. That is smooth, clean, easy horsepower. They will need more air, twins, to get the full use of the power of which injectors are capable. With just a 40, still 408 HP. So keep that in mind.

The price of the injectors is $1395. 00. You keep you old ones for future use if the need arises. Jeff will give a free install and 3 runs on the dyno to show the customer they are what he says. With the install that means the truck must come to the shop. What about the customer in Indiana, Conn, or Texas? :( It dosen't look good. Jeff says he will not get into shipping injectors and have someone who does not understand the performance parameters of these, raising he. . , cane, about whatever. He just wants to do the whole deal hands on. For that I can't blame him. This is not about all money. We have to have a happy customer and the performance claimed. Other shops can have their system, but for now this is the way Jeff wants it . Later on down the road? We'll see.

For those that do not believe what has been claimed with these injectors, come to the race in Bowling Green, TS Performance, and to Muncie. They will be showcased there. Two 12V's and a 24V that I know of. More is in the works. It will be very interesting.

See you at Bowling Green.

Do you have any more details... number of holes, EDM or Honed, hp levels or cost?

7 hole honed. There is one level only. These should with proper turbo add 180+ hp to a stock truck.

I would rather stay with honed. I don't need the headache of a broken injector tip.

I haven't heard of this. Could you elaborate as to why they would break? I'm on the fence about injectors and lacking information...

Gypsyman:

To know what he's talking about, you just need to understand the process of the EDM. What does honing do? How are extra holes introduced into the tip? Is the spray pattern changed? Is tip size the only thing that changes fuel flow. Don't just listen to what folks say. I'm not an expert at all. This is just my thinking. Investigate and find out whats happening.

I thought everybody was getting away from the honed injectors and going w/ EDM's

That is fine w/ me!!! After seeing the difference b/t honed and edms... I will stick w/ my honed injectors!
