Competition Race Trailer Break-In, Tools Stolen

Off Roading What a save!!!!!

We are going to build several of these units. The next one we build will be

for joe webb at suncoast transmissions. He has already bought the 1500

hemi, and we plan on starting it in a week or so. The cost will depend on

how silly you get with your motor and transmission. I can build one like mine for

around 40,000 .

The 9 1/4 with a limited slip , The truck cost is 15,000

donor truck 5000 gets you started. I rode a customer

yesterday, he was back this morning wanting one. :D

The truck weighs 4900 lbs 497 hp is just enough to waste

a v10 truck at 25mpg instead of 5. Thats what makes it

cool I think.

Do you think the factory 9. 25 is capable of much more power if you were to use slicks? I guess it's hard to say until something breaks. .

I bet if you stayed away from transbrakes, the little rear differential would be fine under 500hp or so. Keep fresh grease and bearings in it and fix what breaks...

Matt

Time will only tell, but the little 8 1/4 in the Dakota never wimpered with 475hp and tons of burn-outs, and 12 second passes. ~600 pounds difference between the two trucks.

That is awesome!

I'll bet it was a lot easier fitting the cummins into that than the dakota. :D

What transmission are you using? 47re or rh?

I don't think you will ever see Jeff install anything into anything he builds but the RH. All the race trucks around here have the RH. The RH is like the straight shift. You can sort of shift when you want, and not when the computer thinks it should.

. . Preston. .

This truck does look nice and MPG would be great. Some questions I have are is it hard to register/insure/inspection stickers for a conversion like this? Would you still need to meet all of the 2005 emissions?

Jeff

I got a ride in this beauty over the weekend at Shop day. Jeff has done some fine work here. It is hard to describe other than it is a better ride than anything at Six Flags/Disney..... Jeff had me hootin pretty good "dirt-trackin" around some corners. Lots of fun... .
