Help with a Garage Pulley System for an

Not sure if this belongs here, or in "the shop"

Anyway I need a new hedge trimmer. I want a gas one this time.

I'll be using it a couple times a year, not commercially.

Does anyone have one that's been good for them?

I expect it to have good power, be able to trim large pieces (I dunno pinky sized?), and fairly long life.

It would be nice it it wasnt too heavy also.

TIA

Eric

I will second the stihl ,There is one model that accepts different ends. One is a chain saw another is a weed whacker and the hedge trimmer. The nice part of this is its on a pole and gives good reach. They even make a mini rototiller for it.

Hit your local garage sales and Craigslist! I bought a gently used Echo for $10. New it was $150. I am really pleased with it. Very good quality. Stihl makes a very good product also.

I'm going to "third" the Stihl trimmers. I like my HS45s a lot. If you can find a set of Stihl for a reasonable price you will like them!

Stihl. I have a Stihl I bought new in 1985. Runs perfect.

Stay away from poulan or weed-eater brands.

Never leave gas in the tank for more than 1 month. After a few years if it starts loosing power clean the spark arrestor. People have thrown 2-cycle saws, weed trimmers, ect in the trash because the spark arrestor was clogged.

red maxx

Im a RedMaxx guy . Blowers, trimmers, ect.

Great running Japs .

Take that spark arester and tear it out !

With most of my Stihl equipt. I need a special prayer from the Pope to get running .
