Toyota 4 runner rear axle question ?

Honda filters on my wife's Honda van, Briggs & Stratton on the B&S engines that have oil filters, John Deere (rebadged Kawasaki) on the JD 345, Kohler on my standby Kohler generator, and Wix on my old 1950 BF Avery/MM-BF tractor.

I always stick to OEM stuff if not too out of hand. That would include using a motorcraft or Delco. Otherwise WIX or other premium brand is good.

I too try and stick to OEM pretty much. For the little bit extra, you never have to think about having a filter quality issue.(least that's what I tell myself to justify it:-laf

Usually use Fram on the gas powered stuff around here, even the racecar gets one unless I score some K&N filters for it, never an issue !:D

I wouldn't use FRAM on my 4 Wheeler

You are entitled to your opinion, I don't run Fram either.

HOWEVER we have offered Fram filters here for 20 years or better (had them in stock when I came to work here 19 years ago). I have seen (1) issue, that was turned over to Fram for evaluation and I never heard another word regarding it from the customer. If he had not been satisfied I would have known about it.

From car filters to off-road inner / outer air cleaner set-ups. No problems.

I am not a flag waving fan of the brand but in fairness the lack of issues needed to be brought up. Not everyone wants to run OEM, Fleetguard, Baldwin, etc........

That issue from YEARS AGO where Fram stepped up (and probably took the blame for things that were not their fault in certain cases) to make things right should be remembered as well.

Just sayin'.....

I have also been using Fram on everything I have owned for years and never a problem here in mid atlantic weather Mike. I have taken to using Baldwin on my Mega though.

Back in the early 80s had a new
GMC nice truck 4x4 3/4 ton changed oil every 3,000 miles religiously with Fram filter 65,000 miles shelled engine, haven't used Fram since, Just not taking any chances, could have been something else, but haven't had trouble since, Monte

Once burned, twice shy as we say around here....I got a lemon Arctic Cat snowmobile back in the 70's and haven't gone near one since. I think everyone has a story to tell about stuff like that
Happy New Year
