GM to cancel small diesel in 1/2 ton

Lowest price for diesel in Albuquerque is $1. 86. That's about the same as regular unleaded gasoline. diesel

Yesterday, I saw gas for $1. 72 and diesel for $1. 82! I couldn't believe it.

I just got back from that station where I filled up (diesel) for $1. 76!! Gas was still $1. 72. Sorry Vaughn.

Purchased diesel today for $2. 39/gal. That is the lowest it has been here since the prices started dropping last fall. Regular gas is at $1. 99 and premium at $2. 29.

Update: just drive by the gas station today. Diesel is $2. 19/gal. 87 Octane is $2. 32, mid grade is $2. 39, and premium is $2. 47!

In Monterey, gas keeps edging upwards while diesel diesel does the opposite!

It feels good to be paying less for fuel than the gassers for a change. I hope this continues. Oo.

Went on a little road trip to western WA and various places over the last few days and was blown away to see place after place with diesel for only $2. 15- $2. 25. Then I come home to Tri Cities and EVERY station all over town is $2. 59
Leave the immediate area and go 20-30 miles in any direction and diesel is WAY less than here

Vaughn Mackenzie,

You must not have been over here by Bothell. $2. 49 here, and it hasnt changed in a while. I think they think we are all microsoft millionaires and can afford it, I guess

It used to be that fuel was more expensive in the little, out of the way areas, than it was in bigger cities due to transportation, competition, etc. But I took the 5er up around the penninsula last weekend and fuel was . 25 to . 35 cheaper in Port Angeles and even Forks than it was in the Silverdale/Bremerton area. Guess I'll add that to my ever growing list of things I don't understand.

Oil is up 10 bucks over what it was just a few weeks ago, in spite of the crashing economy. I dont expect the "low" oil and gas price to last much longer. I sure hope Im wrong.

This spike is driven by increased demand... it seems that America has finally started driving more again after discovering the low pump prices. Plus inventories are down nationwide for gasoline thanks to reduced refinery output and cuts in OPEC production.

In this economy, if prices go up much I would expect to this increased demand fall off quickly, and much quicker than it did following the record prices last summer. So far gasoline is affected but not diesel. I would guess that's because diesel is used more by trucking companies and railroads which are all stalled right now due to the horrible economy.

Keeping my fingers crossed I am right and the bicycle ready!

$1. 96 now! Wrong way.

It went back down a day or so later. I hate when they play with the price like that for no apparent reason.
