Gasket Replacement

Over the weekend I replaced the valve cover gaskets and checked the valve adjustment. The truck has 157,960 or so, but the inside of the valve covers and the top of the heads looked as clean as they would if it were new!
I was so surpised that it was that clean and with that many miles on it. I have opened up motors(gas) with way less miles and it was hard to find the valve train.
I also checked the valves and they were right on the money as far as the clearance.
I did a good clean job on the covers and installed the new gaskets and O rings on the bolts and buttoned her back up.
I was excited about how clean it was I wanted to share it. .

I assume you are running Amsoil in the engine?

How long has the motor had Amsoil in it?

Yes... . it has had Amsoil in it for about 6 months and approx 10,000 miles.
