I wonder if that means $125 for each "plate" or will the second one be cheaper since it's the same with different colors?

(Just had to ask that in case you guys forgot about my Sport Comp model)

Count me in!!

Nope not a word yet. I even sent them a 2nd email stating there were 4 people wanting UltraLite and 1 wanting Sport Comp(man what an oddball! j/k Kyle #ad
) just to show them I was serious and that I wasn't "going away". I wish they would answer me tho.

I hate waiting! If I don't have an answer by the time I get home from work tommorrow maybe I will have to call them. #ad
We'll see.

Kat ... i dug threw my old paper work this is what i emailed and this what the responce was:..... ME: I was wondering if autometer made custom gauges... I was looking at your ultra-lite 2 1/16 gauge part # 4304 (boost 35psi)... can autometer make a 50 psi gauge on special order?

Automater: We could possibly do a special, but it will cost $200. 00. First of all, there would be a service charge of $125. This is simply to make a silk screen for the dial. The rest would be the price of the guage. If you are interested you will have to contact us by phone... (they gave a name and # but i didnt want to post and have the guy getting 50 million cals)... JB

Email me the name and phone number please. I noe have 5 people wanting this gauge made. And Kyle , wanting his sport comp.

The next question is how are we going to handle the funds? I can not purchase all of the gauges at once as I am curently broke, due to regestering the darn truck.

Kat... my suggestion about the funds is have the people that wants the guages is to go thru autometer with the credit card info, once we find out the quote... people would have to call up with a formal order... . JB

UPDATE!

I called Autometer and we have two options :

Option #1 - We can order the Ultra Lite 0 to 50 PSI. It will be roughly 8 weeks lead time and will cost $150 to have the "screen" made.

Option #2 - We can order a 0 to 60 PSI Ultra Lite (which is in the process of being made) and should be available in roughly two weeks (I have to keep checking). We will only have to pay the cost of the gauge (no screening cost). We have to order them through a "dealer" tho when I recieve a model number.

I need to know what we would like to to? Live with 0 to 60 PSI or pay the $150 to have our 0 to 50 PSI gauge made?????

HVAC - Do you wish to become an Autometer dealer?? #ad
Puurrtty please?

Kyle They can make your gauge based on our screen, HOWEVER the font on the dial will be slightly different from your current gauge. It will be the Ultra Lite series font on a black dial, the person I talked to said hardly noticable (but you know how that goes).

Last count I had was for five UltraLites and one Sport Comp ???

So I need to know which option we wish to persue, since it will be 8 weeks if we go 0 to 50 PSI.

Please respond here as soon as you can so we can get the ball rolling and or email me. I will contact HVAC to see if he will be "our dealer".

ROCK~~~~HARDPLACE~~~~ROCK... what to do... i guess the 0-60 makes financal sense. . hummm I still prefer the 0-50... JB

I honestly can't tell you what its going to look like other then it will be the "UltraLite" font on the face only on a black background. The cost will be simply the price of the gauge itself. The "screening" is a onetime charge.

So I was thinking, if we get 5 or 6 people in on this we each throw in a extra $25 and walla we have a very unique gauge. I am trying to persuade HVAC into becoming a Autometer Dealer so that we can do our business through him since Autometer doesn't sell to the public.

Thoughts? Opinions? The only bad thing bout the 50 psi is the 8 week lead time, I can deal with it tho. I will make due with my 35 psi gauge until then.

What say ye? #ad

Kat... i have nothing again HVAC... but Summit and Jegs sell Autometer ... and there the cheapest around... jus a thought... JB. . lets got with the 0-50... . 2nd vote. . heheh JB

Quad door, and others.

Jegs and Summit are good but for cheep go Carparts.com.

I saved about 200 bucks on Autometer stuff. I did a comparo with the three.

Check it out! #ad

I'm suprised that they didn't say anything about the cost including a total recalibration of the gauge's inerds, since it would be stupid of them to just put a new face on the original gauge. I have faith in them.

Update #2!

I called AutoMeter again today and placed an order for a 0 to 50 psi UltraLite 2 1/16th inch. So far I have a commitment from Quad to help me out with the one time "screening" cost, because this is the gauge that we want. I will know later this week when the gauge will be available. If anyone else wants to get this gauge please let me know if you will help with the "screen" fee of $150. Once we have a model number it will be roughly the same cost of a regular boost gauge to purchase. If we get six people to help cover the screen fee it will only cost us an "extra" $25 per gauge when you look at it.

Another Update -

Autometer is making our "silk screen" this week. Our gauges should be ready to ship in 2 to 3 weeks tops.

Yes they are recalibrated, and we will be buying them directly from Autometer. Email me for details.

Bringing this to the top, those of you that showed interest earlier please restate your commitment and interest since we decided to have our own gauge made. So far there are 3 people in on the deal and helping with the screening cost. SO at this point and time it is going to be $50 each and then the cost of the gauge. The more people we get committed the less it will cost "Extra".

Quad and myself decided we were ording this gauge to be "different" and would cover the screening cost between us, so any more poeple interested would help, if not we are prepared to pay for what we want. Thank you. Also please read my above post on using both emails as I am having trouble with my @home service. Thank you.

Let me say this again, we are buying these gauges DIRECT from Autometer.

Kat,
I just sent you an E-Mail. What price is Auto Meter charging for the gauge? I hope it's not their "retail" price they post on their web site. (Is it?)

Kyle -

Just replied to your email. I tried calling them but my contact was out of the office. I probably won't get to talk to him because I gotta leave for work in a hour. I'll try to get the answers to your questions. I'll try to pinpoint a price from him too.....
