Does anyone know a part number for the light bulbs that light up the factory gauges? The light behind the #2 on the tach has gone out and I pulled it out to see if I could find a part number but it didn't have anything on it at all. I thought maybe someone might have dealt with this already and might have the number somewhere.

yeah, I just bought one for my grandfather's buick and it was like $3. Not too bad on the price but it was hell trying to find the pn. The dealer didn't even list it on their computer for that application.

I thought they were LEDs? You would just find a matching one at Radio Shack and start soldering.

If not, that's good because I am not too keen on soldering on a $600 gauge cluster.

No they aren't LED's. They are a PC mount light bulb. PC meaning printed circuit board. I guess I'll hit Napa and see if they can do any good. They had the last one I was looking for!

I wouldn't be too keen on soldering on that thing either!

they are a pc74... working on a 3rd gen led kit. . in the works, should be out in the next couple months. .

You might want to try a different bulb then. They are definitely not a PC74. Nor are they a PC37. I went and looked at both of them this morning at Napa and they aren't even close. I am thinking I'm gonna have to go to the dealer to find them now.

Yeah, my faith in what the dealer says is pretty much non-existant. I went to the Buick dealer a few weeks ago for a gauge cluster light. They had 3 different lights listed for the instrument cluster and not a one of them was correct.

I'll let you know if I figure out what it is.

Did you ever get one of these... the one behind my "2" and the one in the heater control cluster are both fried...

one vs the other. . not running them at full, creates heat in the dimmer switch. .

i believe the one in the heater control is diff. .

It is still a PC bulb... I assumed it was the same as the dash cluster... about the size of a dime and the bulb is only the size of a smalll pencil eraser...

I'm going to stop by a dealer tomorrow... probably go out during lunch or something...

How soon will the LED kit be completed... might just go that route if it will be soon...

as soon as i can get my hands on a factory bulb and a donor truck... need to see the bulb 1st... . i have some what i think will work. . but dont know until i can see the bulb... then test the light transfer to make sure there are no bright spots.

Please PM me when you get them... I am definately interested in the LEDs...

CEpp, how would a complete guage cluster and a HVAC control panel work for you? I happen to have both for an 03 with all the bulbs in place. I could send them to you. PM me with your add. if interested.
