Gauge Fogging

Is there anyone that has AutoMeter Pro Comp Ultra Lite Pyrometer gauge that fogs? It fogs up just about 1/2", on edge.

I just bought and installedan AUTO METER EGT gauge in my truck and the first morning I got in my truck to go to work I found the outer edge of my gauge was fogged. I just called GENO's GARAGE, where I bought it and they are sending me out a new gauge, because they are sealed gauges. So If I were you I would check with whoever you bought it from. Good luck

The fogging IS NOT isolated to just AutoMeter gauges. I believe under the right circumstances you will find this will happen with just about any of the analog gauges. All of the gauge fogging problems I have heard about have been when they were mounted on the A-pillar. I experienced this when I first installed my VDO Vision series gauges on the A-pillar. I later used a special tape to cover the hole in the A-pillar panel used to route the wiring. This minimized the problem however, it did not eliminate it entirely.

My Sport Comp EGT gauge fogged for the first week i had it. It has been fine ever since. If it continues to fog even after a month or so, you may need to vent the case since it is sealed unlike the other gauges.
