Well, I finally got my gauges installed over the last two days. I chose to use AutoMeter Z-series gauges after a failed attempt to order VDO gauges. I added a boost. pyro and trans-temp in my custom overhead consol and a 2 5/8 tach on the dash. I am really happy with the install and will post some pictures soon. First, where should I mount the sender for the trans temp gauge? Can I put it in the line to the cooler? Or only in the pan? I have the gauge installed and wired, but am waiting to hear where the best location would be for the sender. Second, did I calibrate the tach right? I used an alternator sensor for the tach. I calibrated it by using the no-load WOT rpm (2600). Is this a fairly reliable number for a first gen? It puts the idle speed at about 850 which seems high (700 is rated and I thought that it seemed to be lower than that). I plan to have it calibrated, but I was wondering if I was close. Thirdly, My truck is an early 1991 and is completely stock (intercooler in a box in the garage) and I got 1025 F and 19. 5 psi on my first run. Does that seem about right?? I installed the pyro pre-turbo.

Thanks for all your input.

Dan
