gauge lights

Just got my di pricol gauges. Has any one ever painted the bulbs or changed them to match the instrument panel light color? If so what color paint did ya use or what bulbs did ya switch to? Also does anyone know how to get the bulbs out of the pyro gauge? Mine appear to be glued or something.
