None of them will work if you mount it as recommended with adhesive. I have a 2 pod mounted with a metal strap and it works good.

This is my favorite gauge mount write-up for overheads... this is the way I will do it when I finally get around to installing gauges, but I will use Westach custom dual gauges in order to fit more info into less space. In my mind, above the mirror is the perfect place for gauges that one does not need to be constantly looking at (like EGT and boost) , but can look at every once in awhile to make sure everything is running OK (like voltmeter/amps, diff/transmission temps, fuel filter pressure etc. ). Westach Dual EGT/Boost on the a-pillar with handle, and the rest up above the mirror the way Matt did it is the way to go IMO.

Has anyone used the overhead quad gauge mount and if so is working or is it a waste of money?

The install above is the exact procedure I used for my Boost and EGT. Very visible and very out of the way. If you do install overhead, I do remember an extender cable required for the EGT from the thermocouple. I use the ISSPRO white faced gauges. Paint the mount to match.

I have the overhead pod on my truck now. I had the A pillar setup on my last truck. In my opinion, the gauges were easier to glance at when they were on the A pillar. I feel like it takes my eyes longer to get back on the road when I look up at the overhead pod.

I have the two gauge pod and used the velcro without incident. I run my fuel pressure gauges up there. I have had no issues with the velcro through the summer heat or the bitter cold of the ND winter, the pod has stayed where I put it. just my two cents.

I have the 3 gauge "over-the-mirror" pod, from Genos, installed using the supplied heavy duty velcro. I took care to make sure the surfaces to be stuck by the velcro adhesive (glass & plastic) were freshly clean & dry. Knock wood, the pod has stayed put for 3+ years.
