how easy is it to change the heater, a/c controls to the lower place. .

Not the easiest thing to do, but if you have the courage to start hacking on your center console its not too bad. You have to cut the bottom hole out to be as big as the hole the AC controls are in. It is smaller. You have to be creative in how you secure the AC controls to the new hole. But other than that it not to bad. The gauge pod and gauges are the same install. The wiring harnesses all have plenty of slack so no problem there.
