I am having a problem with my transmission temp gauge. I have installed both combo gauge & trans temp gauge, both from Geno’s. The sending unit for the trans temp gauge is mounted in a Mag-Hytec trans pan. The gauge works fine until trans temp approaches 150 degrees (when snow plowing). At that temp the needle will jump and then peg itself off the scale at 300 degrees. I have that gauge grounded directly to battery. Anyone experience a similar problem or have any ideas?

Sounds like a problem with the transducer shorting out as temperatures increase. The expansion is probably causing the transducer to short out. Have them send you a replacement. Better still, remove it and test it in hot water and see if it is reacting the same way. If so, then replacement is in order. Also check your positive wiring to make sure it is fully insulated.
