i got a stock 96 2500 just installed gauges in it (bout time huh). Im just wondering what the gauge readings should be (boost and pre turbo pyro). Also if i do any mods whats the highest boost and pyro i can run without blowing anything up?

Also does anyone know where to tap into the instuement panels lights so i can get the gauges to dim with the other dash lights?

As far as readings go, running at 70mph empty you should be seeing something like 3-5psi of boost and 650-750egts. Your wastegate should prevent boost from getting any higher than about 21psi. You want to avoid prolonged egts over 1250.

For making the gauges dim with the dash lights, it is pretty easy to tap right into the wire powering the dash lights if you pull the headlight switch. When you have the switch out, just take a multimeter and see which wires change voltage as you dim the lights.

I was in a hurry - I used a littlefuse 'add-a-circuit'

Very cool. Plugs into the fuse panel, crimp on the wire to the gauge. done.

Well worth the 8 bucks.

I just stuck the wires into the back of the fuse panel (with a flat connector).

Find the fuse that says someting like (instrument panel or guages). If you use a test light to find it you can watch the test light dim when you run the light switch.
