gauge snubber ??

whats up with this gauge snubber? should i use one if i use a tapped banjo bolt at the fuel filter housing with a grease gun hose to the sending unit?is it a item that will save the sender?also is the one from grainger the right size 1/8thinch npt? thanks to all CFowler

24 valves don't have the pulsations that 12s do but sometimes will pulse enough to destroy a sender or mechanical gauge. On a 12 a snubber is essentail. The 1/8" 6MN31 needle valve from Granger is cheap insurance ($3. 29) and works great as a snubber. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/productdetail.jsp?xi=xi&ItemId=1612835462
