Gauge wiring questions....

This is on an 06.



I connected my boost power wire to the dimmer wire per Genos instructions and now I dont have power to my cab light via the switch. The light still comes on when I open the door. Is it because I removed the insulation on the wire to tap into it? It was the Orange/brown stripe wire. Any ideas? I'm thinking it might be the other orange/brown wire. Also, what is the proper way to connect to the wire?

Look in TDR issue #51 in the back under "From the shop floor". There's an article on gauge installation. The lights come off of the light switch pin #4, the 2nd pin from the left on the top row. There's a pin #2 that's the same color and maybe that't the one you tapped into.
