Had this problem for a little while now I need to get it fixed, emissions test coming due and they will not test with cel on.

Started my truck one morning and 30 sec. s later the chime goes off and my gauges all went to 0. 0. I've checked everthing from all the other threads and even put die elec. grease on the gauge pins. I did a self test on the gauges and they check out fine. cleaned all the grounds I could find, checked the plugs on the ecm and pcm and checked fuses in pdb under the hood all ok. If I can't get this fixed I guess I'll take out a second mortgage and take it to the dealer. Truck runs great and the only thing that doesn't work are the gauges. Could the ecm be bad? pullin out the hair now.

This seems to be a Bus ( relay station for data) but usually the dash says NO-Bus. Did you check for codes? Check fuses?

odo says no bus, checked all the fuses, all good. I've checked everything I've been able to find from all the other threads, everything seems to check good. I'm thinking this is about to get expensive.

here's a new one. What is a CTM? Cycled the plugs on it and everything started working again. Don't know what the CTM does except cause the Cab. to lose power when you unplug it, it sits under the dash just in front of my right knee. I can put my wallet away, what a rekief.

Found it, CTM= Central Timer Module: controls Remot keyless Entry, chime, coutrsey lamps, speed sensitive intermittent wipers, enchanced accident response, Vehicle theft security system: anti-theft system with engine disable, alarm and door lock features.

Apparently this sends data or reciecves data from the Bus and/or CCD=Chrysler Collision Detection: data bus system used by the air bag and the anti -lock brake sytems.

Glad you found the problem lot members never do.

That one has always killed me. What happens ... angels float down and in split nanoseconds lay down downey soft bubblewrap all over your nick knacks and kids?

Really I had this once and whats odd was that It had turned out to be a PDC issue ( https://www.turbodieselregister.com...185608-yet-another-tmtt-dilemma-tip-save.html ).

I had the NoBus before It happened in 2003 I cleaned all major grounds (Engine groundoff pass battery is a major one) and I have had ZERO issues scince. (Ecept for the PDC but I added that as a "Hey while you are under there ... . ) https://www.turbodieselregister.com...-1998-5-2002/69456-what-ding-ding-no-bus.html

Maybee something to look at (Both items)

I unplugged that critter to defeat the door chimes. Oops. Plugged it back in. I did kill the chimes though: if you look carefully at the box you can figure out how to open it up, inside there is a circuit board and on that board is is the dinger/bell thingy(round, black, about 3/4 inch across, has speaker grill on it). I just grabbed it with a pair of pliers and gently rocked it back and forth to break the two wires that connect it and removed it. I have done this to my 99 and 01 trucks with no problems for years now.

And yes, the enhanced accident response angels do come down and spit in your eye when you have an accident.
