I'm ready to purchase a set of gauges, boost/egt gauges. But now I can't decide which ones to get. I know you guys can help me decide. I really like the looks of the the Di-Pricol gauges but I heard the egt gauge lighting don't exactly match the boost gauge is this true? Have any of you had any problems with these gauges. I'm also looking at the Isspro. I will be ordering from geno's as soon as I can make up my mind. I also need help deciding between edge EZ and RAMIFIER. Pros and Cons. Decisions, decisions :{

$800 incl. tax for the Edge Juice w/attitude, which includes EGT/Boost plus a whole bunch of other goodies vs. whatever else you're gonna install for chip/gauges, is a NO BRAINER in my book. I personally prefer analog gauges, but the Juice/attitude is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!! Install is neat and clean and SIMPLE. Overall you'll you'll spend less for the Juice/Attitude combo than you will for an EZ/Ramifier plus gauges. OK, I never checked those figures, but they gotta be really close. One cable through the firewall is SOOOOO muh easier than boost line, EGT wire, hot line, switch... blahblahblah

GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!! GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!! GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!! GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!! GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!! GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!! GET THE JUICE/ATTITUDE!!!

Geno's is great, got many things from them already on truck, but Attitude ROCKS!!

What he said ... ... ;)

I think I read some post from folks that had problems with the center buttom coming loose on the Dipicol guages. You might want to do some more research

I have the DiPricol EGT, boost and transmission temp gauges. They look great, but the lighting in the EGT gauge is marginal, while the other two are great. For some reason, the pointer on the EGT is not lit very well. Others have posted the same complaint. I have my EGT in an SRT-10 A-pillar mount, and the other two in an overhead windshield pod. Since they are separated, the difference is not as noticable, but if they were side by side you could really tell a difference.

I went with the BD-X moniter gauge and ramifier (adjustable)Hp box. Very happy with both. coobie

Thanks Jimbob, for posting about your gauges. I went to your picture page and liked what I saw. That's the exact same setup I was considering. One on the A-pillar and two up above the mirror. Looks pretty great. Good Job!

I know they are spendy but very functional is the SPA dual gauges. 2 gauges in one 2" pod, led warning set points, highest value since last reset, accuracy into the tenths. , back light dim control, programmable outputs... just this weekend I set up my EGT gauge to shut down the engine at whatever temp I want so thats like getting a built in cool down timer as a bonus.

I've done it now!

I just could not resist it anymore. I finally broke down and ordered a edge juice w/attitude. Oo. Thanks for all of the suggestions though.

I've had mine since December. You are going to love it. I drive around town at level 3. I hardly ever drive with it set above 3 unless I am in "fun mode". I was not looking for something to turn my truck in to a dragster, I just wanted something helped it not run like a 3 ton garden snail.

It's like night and day ... . The improved responsiveness and increased mpg are worth it alone.

Good decision. ;)

juice w/attitude pyro probe?

I just want to make sure I've got the right tap for the pyro probe. The one I purchased is marked 1/8-27 NPTF. The instructions call for a 1/8 NPT. The guy that sold the tap to me said this is the one I need. Is he right? The F on the end of NPT is want concerns me. Also, you guys that have already installed one of these how many threads deep did you tap the hole? Going to be installing everything this Saturday. Any other tips or tricks you experienced guys have for me would be greatly appreciated.

I would like an answer to this post as well... My tap says "1/8 NPT-27", is this the right tap. And if so how deep should I tap it?

Thank much :)

NPTF = National Pipe Thread Fine = NPT for short. Pipe thread is pipe thread. You got the right tap.

Tap it a little shallow. Just enough to get it started a turn and a half or so by hand . Then carefully put a wrench on er. It took me a few trips in and out with the tap to get it just right. The idea is not to get the fitting in too far and obstruct the exhaust flow but far enough in to seal/not come out. It worked for me.

Thanks Amish, that is what I needed to know :)
