Getting New K&N Filter

How much hp from daily driver with twins.

Hi, guys,

For a mechanically competent individual, how long should it take to install a triple-pod a-pillar gauge mount and boost, egt, and fuel pressure gauges? I've got plenty of tools, and plenty of experience wrenching on the Jeeps, but never did gauges before :). I was going to just have a shop do it, as I don't have much free time anymore, but if it doesn't take too long, maybe I'll go ahead and give it a shot...

Thanks.

Chris

I would say between 2-4 hours. I've done 4 pyros in the last few months and each time I get a little faster. None of it;s difficult work... but the wiring is quite tedious hence the time.

I think that sounds about right but more 4-6 for the first timer. There is nothing difficult, but you have alot of small steps that are new to you and they take time. You can easily install them yourself, just it's new and you will error on the side of conservitiveness which is only normal for someone tring to do a good job and make it look nice.

Save yourself some aggrevation, and make sure you have ALL the parts and tools you need.

Lay everything out on a table or workbench and look where everything goes and make sure you have the parts to do it. Extra compression fittings for the 1/8 lines (if you have mechanical gauges or are remote mounting the sending units). Nothing is worse than having to stop two or three times to run to the hardware store because you need a part, or you dropped a compression fitting furrel (sp?) and can't find it because it's sitting on top of the fuel filter lid and you swore you heard it hit the floor.

If you are installing a fuel pressure gauge, get your grease gun hose, and or needle valve, and all the needed parts to connect it for the snubbing of the pressure vibrations.
