Well I finally installed my gauges yesterday. The whole project went really well, although I did put off drilling and tapping the exhaust manifold as long as possible. Even that went fine, once I got over my apprehension, I just took my time. Now some questions.
Fuel pressure is 13 at idle, 8-10 cruising and 6-7 WOT. If I remember correctly, these numbers are OK, do you agree?
One thing I goofed up on. I disconnected the MAP sensor while I installed the boost tubing. I than forgot do reconnect it prior to my test drive. When I checked the codes, I had a P0236 and P0234. I think the P0236 is due to not having the sensor connected but the P0234 (high boost) puzzles me. Isn't the EZ supposed to keep the computer from showing high boost? Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.
To any Dakota Digital owners out there, the gauges get very warm, is this normal?
Anyway, its fun to watch the gauges to see how different driving scenarios change the various readings. I'm learning a lot about my truck with this extra information. I should have done this sooner!
