Finally got my gauges installed. What a PITA! :eek: Way too many wires, but it seems as if the Dodge would be a good truck to do it on since everything is pretty accessible. I think it was worth it though. Well, it took me two days worth, not full days but two interrupted afternoons. :D

I went with the Isspro Marines, 0-60 Boost and 0-1500* EGT (Pre-Turbo), and a two gauge pillar-mount pod, all from Geno's. I must say excellent support from Geno's. Definately on my future vendor list if need be.

So I took it out tonight after everything was installed. I like the looks of them better during the day (besides the little glare which is acceptable), but they aren't at anyway hard to read at night. They are very responsive and detailed.

The readings were:

Idle(Engine Fully Warmed):

-400* EGT

-3 PSI Boost :D j/k :p 0 PSI Boost

1750 RPM/60 MPH/Engine Warm/Fairly Flat Land:

-700* EGT

-3 PSI Boost

Foot To The Floor/Engine Warm/Varying Land:

-1100* EGT Max

-32 PSI Boost Max

Well does this show that I didn't need gauges that bad, or is it unique? Only mods are a TST PowerKit with #6 Plate and a K&N drop-in filter. Still glad I got the gauges.

From these readings, is their any free upgrades from the pump or turbo, or what is next?

Thanks,

Trever

Trevor;

A free or low cost update is advancing the timing to around 15°

The EGTs reading seem a bit high.

At idle it should drop to 300° and lower ... . unless it was right after coming back from the test drive.

60 mph cruise shouldn't be around 600°, especially at 3 psi boost.

Next?

Ask Jeff how he likes the governor springs?

At idle after sitting, the lowest it will drop is 300*. It was at 400* sitting idling during the run.

What do you think it should be reading? Do I have to do some tuning?

Thanks,

Trever

Your temps are fine. If you want more power, just slide the plate forward. Word of caution: if your transmission is stock, it might not like too much longer with the extra power. Just a word to the wise on that. Get that transmission beefed up as soon as possible. Then come back and ask for more power mods.

But do bump up your timing a little, 15-16* should do it. Any nearby diesel shop should be able to do it.
