Has anyone tried mounting gauges in the over head cubby hole (where the compass would be if I had one)? I'm ready to buy EGT and boost gauges (so I can start bombing the thing), but haven't quite figured out how to mount them yet. I've driven trucks with the pillar mount, and don't really like them, but would consider one as a last resort. It looks like you could use two seperate gauge cups, and maybe cut into the black plastic top of the cubby hole to mount them.
Alternatly, has anyone mounted gauges to the top of the steering column? Any other clever mounting spots for two 2" gauges (other than on top of the dash)? I'd like for them to not be too obvious from outside the truck. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
